Entering your data on a website can indeed be very dangerous, with cyber attacks becoming increasingly sophisticated. Here is a brief summary of the main cyber security risks and what we have done to eliminate or mitigate them.
MoneyBee does not store any of your inputs in cookies.
If your computer gets infected with malware, hackers can read information directly from it. For that reason, MoneyBee does not store any of your inputs in cookies on your device. Everything you enter is stored in our highly-secure cloud databases. We also do not employ any downloads or registry edits, which is how malware usually gets into a device in the first place.
MoneyBee uses 256-bit bank-level encryption in transit.
Once you submit your data on a website, it travels via the Internet to the website's server. While in transit, your data can be intercepted and read, if not properly encrypted. MoneyBee uses strong 256-bit bank-level encryption of your data during transit.
Our servers are protected by a leading web security company 24/7.
MoneyBee's servers are hosted by Amazon Cloud (AWS), which is a very secure platform in itself, but we wanted to go further. We hired Sucuri, a leading website security company, to build a firewall around our servers and to protect them from any malicious attacks. For added safety, our servers are scanned for malware on a daily basis. If anything suspicious is detected, Sucuri's data security engineers are available 24/7 to eliminate the threat.
Our databases are hosted by AWS and encrypted at rest.
Once your data is processed by our web servers, it is securely stored in our cloud databases, which are also hosted by AWS and strongly encrypted at rest.
The only personally identifiable information collected by MoneyBee is email addresses, and only if you sign up.
We believe that the best protection against thieves is to not keep anything valuable in the house. For that reason, we do not collect your name, physical address, phone number, Social Security number or any account numbers. The only personally identifying information we collect is your email address, but only if you choose to sign up in order to access your inputs in a future visit. You can close even that door if you always use MoneyBee as a guest.
We are committed to never sell or share your data with any third party.
The sad truth is that in the vast majority of cases, we lose the privacy of our data not through hackers but through our own explicit consent. Data is valuable and many websites make their money by selling your data to advertising agencies, with your consent. Before you know it, you get even more solicitation popups, emails, mail, and phone calls. We are committed to never sell or share your data with any third party. All data you enter in MoneyBee is presumed strictly confidential. Please see our privacy policy for a detailed description of these commitments.".(NET_SVC_ON ? " MoneyBee does offer a paid advertising service to financial advisers, which enables you to connect with them, if you want to. However, we do not share your information with advisers. They will only know what you are willing to share with them if/when you get in touch with them." : "")."
